No Local Sponsor Required: Tourists no
longer need a local resident or agent to sponsor their visit.

No Police Clearance Needed: The mandatory
police clearance certificate from the traveller's home town has been removed.

Simplified Application Process: Security
checks will be handled directly by the Lakshadweep Police after the online
application is submitted.
- 4.
Application Timing: Applications must be
submitted at least 14 days prior to the intended travel date.
- 5.
Specific Island Limitations: Travellers
must specify their intended islands and travel dates. Travellers can only visit
the islands listed in their permit.
- 6. Transit Restrictions: Transit points are restricted to Kavaratti or Agatti, with a maximum transit time of 12 hours.
